Wee Shu Min "Creativity" video!

whoever said that Singaporeans have no creativity!!!

and to those who have not heard abt the "wee shu min" drama (her dad is Ang Mo Kio GRC MP Wee Siew Kim), go google it out or something.
I'm too lazy to explain. Its almost as big as NKF in the blogosphere.

I have zero love for this government, zero love for this country.
I would not send my kids to any singapore schools. (as long as i can afford it).

I would retire overseas, and bring my entire family over.

i have zero love for this country which my government corrupted.

Fish and rice is a good meal to have on friday.

when i was young, think i was in secondary school, i watch this pseudo-drama.

i think its sort of 1 story per episode, and i think its sorta based on a true story.

there was this man, he's sort of a loner.
all his neighbours like him coz he is a very gentle and nice guy. very sweet and helpful.

he drives a taxi and he lives alone.

i remember this particular scene where he prepares his dinner, he fried a fish for himself and ate it with rice.

just tat, a fish and rice.

i think from tat day on, i never eat alone again. (i do eat alone now, especially considering what I'm working as now)

a fish and a rice.
a whole fried fish.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
at night, when he got a prostitute as a paying customer, in particular, a drunk one, he would drive her to a dark corner.
nay, no sex was involved.
he would bring her back to his room (or is it a hotel? i dunno, details are sketchy, HEY, it was a show i watched 10 years ago), and he would murder her and cut her into pieces.
he has an immense hatred for girls, esp girls like prostitutes. i can't be sure, but i think it has something to do with how his ex treated him. or is it other girls? or is it his mother? eh, this was a show 10years ago.......
i have no idea how the story ends.
but i always remember the fish.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1 day, i'll live in my nice little apartment, eating fish and rice for dinner.

Please don't call the police

i just read the newspaper and apparently this expatriate family was celebrating Halloween by hanging plastic skulls, "gravestones" etc etc.

the guy also displayed several witches' effigies in his driveway and spray ghostly images on his home's window.

Guess what his Singaporean neighbours did?
....
..
.
Yup, they called up the police.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have absolutely no idea whats wrong with Singaporeans and their obsession with calling the police.
Hang ghostly stuff, and your neighbours will call the police.
Walk around naked, in your own PRIVATE and PERSONAL home, and your neighbours will call the police.
I haven't the slightest clue why can't we walk around naked in our own homes.
I would have understand that if its offending in the public arena, but in the privacy of our rooms?
hey, neighbours, its called privacy! if you can't stand the sight of a naked guy/girl walking around in his home, u LOOK AWAY.
*cherub would like to clarify that he does not walk around naked......*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Plus of course, we always read in the news that when there is a protest going on, someone would call the police.
(i have always wonder abt this "someone", sounds very communist)

Aiyah, protest protest lah, you call police for wat...

Plus, all these idiots who love to call the police when they read something they don't like.

A blog that is "wrong" in their moral values? Call the police.
something immoral in their neighbourhood? call the police.

HELLO!! WE DON'T LIVE IN A COMMUNIST STATE!! (oh wait...maybe we do..)

Honestly, our police force has better things to do.
Low Crime doesn't mean No crime!!!

Difference between "knowing" and "understanding" Part 1

it is of my most humble opinion that guys take soooo much longer to recover from a broken relationship.

yes yes, despite the common perception that guys can just shake it off and go off to mate with another girl.

myth.

the truth is, a lot of girls can and do move on much faster.

it baffles me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i was damn pissed by some insurance work the other day.
i can't comment because it was pretty drastic, and honestly, i can't believe i am still so affected, even today.
basically the results are as followed:
1) i made a pledge involving my future offspring.
2) i went off for some serious shopping.
so far, i bought cufflinks, shoes, and committed a few hundreds more to a belt.
plus car accessories.
and pledged another $1000 to new ties and shirts.
when i pledge, i do.
argh.
i have a very low tolerance.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

these few weeks have been dramatic. girls never cease to upkeep their species' commitment to astound and disconcert me.

and i have finally finished my 3-4 months of management course.
i must say, although i hate classroom lessons (nothing is more educating than practical fieldwork), this course has been very rewarding.

usually in insurance, u seldom mix with your colleague since this is not your typical office environment.
you don't do lunch with them coz usually lunch appointments are with clients.

so it was great as i have finally found colleages who think and can "click" well with me. plus it helps that we are all starting our career path in management, so we are facing the same difficulties and on the same track.

meaning = I can whine to them all about my job nonsenses and difficult clients.

我的心事,谁能知?
My heart problems, who can understand?

and of course some good old revenge.

oh how others suffered coz of love...

and sometimes we don't know it, but lives around u suffer when you are in love.
*nudge nudge*
sigh. love is such a bother.

and we love tragic stories.

If you have a sharp stick, I better get 1 too.

Imagine u stay in a hostile neighbourhood.

You consider yourself to be fairly "affluent", with a home that is the envy of others.
You make an honest living, working hard and sharing your wealth with all your relatives and you enjoy a great harmonious environment, definitely an envy of others in the neighbourhood.

Your neighbours however, not only make their money in an dishonest way, exploiting others to enrich themselves, but they indulge in seedy, immoral corrupting ways of lifestyle.

You are worried about these thugs, and the influence they bear on your kids.
Worst, you are worried that these thugs will do something bad, *gash* to your kids.

If it was you, would you be worried about your home? all those that you built up?
Would you worry for your kids?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And these neighbours have some very large and sharp sticks. One of them had even once USED the sharp stick on another poor victim before. The poor victim was injured tremendously and had to give up his home.
If it was you, would you be worried that the sharp stick would be used on you?
would you want to get a sharp stick to protect yourself too?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So you went to the grocery store to purchase some sharp sticks.
You bought a few normal poles (those for hanging clothes) and decided to sharpen it.

"Noooo", your neighours screamed!
"You are so unneighbourly!" they protested.
"This is an act of provocation! You shld not own a sharp stick because our kids are scared of you", they bellowed.

Since you are a good neighbour, you decided to talk to them at the local community centre. You told them about your fears and asked them to keep their sharp sticks. You asked them to promise not to rob your house, not to harm your kids.

They disagreed to promise not to rob your house.

If it was you, would you keep the sharp sticks?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But being a good neighbour, you decide to keep those damn sharp sticks in return for future co-operation.
On 19th Sept, you decided to sign an agreement of goodwill with your neighbours.
Fine, you keep those sharp sticks. You would just be more careful around their big sticks.
4days later, your neighbours created problems at your work place, they made it harder for you to earn a living. They convinced the bank that handles the paycheck from your company NOT to deliver any paychecks and to freeze all the money in your current account.
You have money, but you can't write a godamn check to buy foods and pay for the utility bills.
All because of these neighbours whom you appeased and gave in countless of time.
If it was you, HOW WOULD YOU REACT?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In those perspective, no one would trust those neighbours anymore.
Especially if you have seen a victim died from a sharp stick attack.

Especially when almost everyone around you has a sharp stick and you have none.

And no matter how much u tried, they just take your appeasement as a sign of weakness.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
North Korea has just joined the world's most exclusive club. =(
its not too hard to understand them. just substitute "sharp stick" for "nuclear weapons".
The world's most exclusive club, 1 more uninvited members.
Thank you India, for barging into the club in 1998, uninvited and showing everyone that ANYONE can do it too. Just intrude in, endure a few years of lectures and then everyone will treat you with respect after a while.
All those wrongs forgiven, all those respect back in vogue.
Thank you, America.
Happy Mooncake Mid-Autumn Festival!
rats! i just learnt that today is "Mid-Autumn Festival"!
no wonder got so much thick, pasteries cakes with egg-yolks around recently.....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Isn't it funny that people like to call mid-autumn festive, "Mooncake festival"?

eh "Happy Mooncake Festival"!!!
wah liew....“中秋节快乐” become “月饼节快乐”......

月饼节.......
so funny.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
sigh. i ought to be out there walking around with a candle-lit lantern (not battery-operated please), with a nice piece of mooncake and a girl with me, enjoying the moon....
so romantic lor....
oops. wrong picture.
Colours are fun.
so i was sitting at the back of the class with the usual gang.
then i realised something.
i patted the girl in front of me and told her....
"you're wearing a blue jacket and a blue bag."
"the girl next to you is wearing a yellow jacket and a yellow bag"
"the girl next to her is wearing a white jacket and a white bag"
"and the girl next to me is wearing a black jacket and a black bag"
i was commended for my acute observations.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

but thats not all. in the next 1 minute, i realised something i ought to have noticed earlier.

the blue jacket girl with the blue bag is wearing blue shoes.
the yellow jacket girl with the yellow bag is wearing yellow shoes.
the white jacket girl with the white bag is wearing white shoes
the black jacket girl with the black bag is wearing black shoes.

excellent colour coordination!
